In 2006, Wolter led West Florida to a 20-15 record, and the Argonauts first NCAA Division II South Central Regional appearance. The 2006 squad (#7 seed) pulled off the biggest upset in the NCAA national tournament with a 3-0 victory over Washburn (#2), before finally falling to Central Missouri State in a 5 game marathon ending with a final game score of 17-19.
