Shelby Moneer enters her first season as head coach Melissa Wolters' assistants. Moneer comes to West Florida after serving as a volunteer assistant volleyball coach at Choctawhatchee High School in Fort Walton Beach, Fla. She is also a fitness specialist and personal trainer at the Riptide Fitness Center at Hurlbert Air Force Base in Navarre, Fla.

Moneer began her collegiate career in 1999 at NAIA Carver-Stockton College. She transferred to Truman State University in Missouri where she was team captain for the volleyball and softball teams from 2001-03. In volleyball, Moneer was an NCAA Division II Third Team All-America selection. She was also named to the First Team All-Region and All-Conference teams. Moneer was named to the Elite Eight All-Tournament Team.

On the softball diamond, Moneer was a National Fastpitch Coaches Association Honorable Mention All-America. She received First Team All-Region and Second Team All-Conference accolades.
