Nathalia Araujo enters her second season as one of head coach Melissa Wolter's assistant coaches. Araujo has played and coached volleyball in Brazil and on the NCAA Division I level. Araujo has previous experience as an assistant coach with the Skyline Juniors Club in Dallas, Texas. She was head coach of the NEO Volleyball U-13 Club Team in Tulsa, Okla., and an assistant coach with the BNB Club in Fortaleza, Brazil in 2005.
Araujo began her collegiate volleyball career in 2000 at Frank Phillips Community College in Borger, Texas. At Frank Phillips, Araujo was a team captain and named to the all conference team. She was also a region most valuable player.
Araujo transferred to Division I University of Tulsa in 2002. On the court, she was named the Defensive Player of the Year. Off the court, Araujo earned Academic All-Western Athletic Conference honors and was once named Tulsa Student Athlete of the Week. Araujo served as a student assistant coach for Tulsa after her final season.
