Argos Capture Women's Tennis South Regional Victory, to Advance to the NCAA Championships
The 15th ranked West Florida women's tennis team powered their way to the NCAA Championships, by defeating 19th ranked Delta State, by a 5-0 score, in the South Regional. The Argos had defeated the Lady Statesmen twice already this year. During the regular season, UWF topped Delta State by a 7-2 score, and then won again in the conference tournament by a 5-3 score. The Argos raced out to a 3-0 lead with three convincing doubles wins, and capped off the Regional victory by winning the first two singles matches to finish. (more)
