SOUTHAVEN, Miss. - Rain and Lightning has delayed the GSC Softball Tournament temporarily. West Florida was scheduled to play the 2:30 game against Henderson State. The game will be played Saturday morning at 10 AM, since the field was cleared friday afternoon due to lightning detected in the area. The Tournament will now resume on Saturday morning with a new slate of game times for the remaining games. Check the Stretch Internet Link for broadcast times, or click on the Live Stats link to see if the games have begun.

All UWF tournament games will be broadcast on Stretch Internet. Go to the UWF Athletics Home Page to find the stretch internet link along the right column. Game times will be adjusted due to the weather delays in Southaven. Projected start time for the UWF vs. Henderson State game is now confirmed for 10:00 AM Saturday morning.

Two games were completed this morning, with Arkansas Tech defeating North Alabama 6-0, and Valdosta State defeating Delta State 7-6. The 12:00 game between Alabama Huntsville and Arkansas Monticello was in progress when the bad weather arrived. Alabama Huntsville led 6-2 going into the sixth inning, when play was halted. Following the conclusion of that game, the UWF vs. Henderson State game was supposed to start. The Argos Jillian LaFrance is scheduled to start for West Florida. LaFrance defeated Henderson State on April 14th by a 6-1 score. The starting lineups are available on the Live Stats link along the right sidebar on the UWF softball page.
