West Florida to Host NCAA II National Championships

PENSACOLA, Fla. - The 2007 NCAA II Women's Golf Championship will be hosted by the University of West Florida at the par 72, 5,984 yard Stonebrook Golf Club course in Pace, Fla. on May 9-12.

The tournament consists of four rounds, 72 holes, and 18 holes per round. There are eight teams and 48 golfers total. The top two teams from each regional tournament, along with the top two golfers from non-qualifying teams will compete.

Rollins College has won the last four national championships. In three of the last four years, a Rollins golfer has won the individual crown.

West Florida hosted the 2006 NCAA II South Regional Championships last May at Stonebrook. The Argonauts are looking for their first birth in national since there inception as a varsity program in the 2002-03 season. Sarah Nicholson qualified individually in 2004 and finished ninth.
