Every Argonaut golfer improves on their first round score during Monday's second round.

LAKELAND, Fla. - After finishing the first round tied for sixth, West Florida moved up three places and currently stands in third place after the second day of the Lady Moc Classic. The three-day event is being held at the Par 72 Cleveland Heights Golf Club.

West Florida improved their score by 12 strokes on Monday. The Argonauts shot a 304 second round to finish with a 620 total after two rounds. West Florida will start the third and final round 10 strokes behind front-runner Florida Southern.

All five Argonauts improved their score from Sunday's first round. Sarah Nicholson (Cedar Falls, Iowa/Cedar Falls HS) leads the West Florida contingent with a 152 (77-75). Clara Fornella (Montevideo, Uruguay/Seminario) is also in the top 10 with a 153, which is good for tied for 10th. Victoria Jackson (Fort Walton Beach, Fla./Fort Walton Beach HS) stands tied for 20th with a 157. After shooting a first-round 83, Natalia Espinosa (Bogota, Colombia) fired a second round 75 to place tied for 26th. Laura Smith (Tallapoosa, Ga./Haralson County HS) rounded out the Argonaut contingent with a 175 (88-87).

The third and final round will take place on Tuesday.
