Shante' Walker was born and raised in Miami, Fla. She graduated from Miami Carol City High School with honors, and was named "Most Athletic". Shante is the first child and grandchild to go off to college. She continued her education at Santa Fe Community College in Gainesville, FL and played point guard and shooting guard position. There she was named to All-Conference Academic, Dean's List, and All-State Academic. After graduating with her AA degree at Santa Fe, she transferred to University of West Florida where she played basketball for a year and is now the Women's Basketball Student Assistant/Manager. She will be graduating with her Bachelor's degree in sports management in Spring of 2009. After graduation, she plans to continue her education and pursue a Master's degree in sports business management.
