Laura Davis begins her first season as the Argos Graduate Assistant Coach. Davis is expected to help with the guards, and assist in all everyday coaching aspects. Davis, a native of Spanish Fort, AL, played shooting guard for the Argonauts for three years after transferring from the University of Mobile following her freshman season. During her junior season, Laura was ranked first in the conference and sixth in the nation for 3 point field goal percentage. She was also named to the Gulf South Conference All-Academic Team.

Laura served as an assistant coach for the Pensacola Flames, a local AAU team, in 2006. For the last 2 summers, she has been the head coach for the 16-under team. Her teams have been very successful, qualifying twice for the National AAU Championships. In addition to conducting her own individual girls' basketball clinic for middle school and high school girls, Laura has worked as a counselor at the UWF girls' basketball camp and at Duke University's Instructional Camp.

Laura received a bachelor's degree in sports management and is currently pursing a masters degree in physical education.

2006-07: Started 27 of 28 games... Totaled six games of four three-point field goals... Recorded 15 double-figure scoring games... Her 69 three-point field goals were one short of tying the West Florida single-season record... Posted the third-highest single-season three-point field goal percentage at 44.8 percent... Averaged 16.2 points per game over a five-game stretch from 11/25-12/5... Scored 17 points in the Saint Leo win (11/25)... Tallied a season-high 19 points at Mobile (12/5)... Finished with 15 points in the win at Alabama-Huntsville (1/13)... Totaled 12 points and a season-high six assists at Montevallo (1/20)...Played in a season-high 36 minutes while scoring 15 points in the road win at West Alabama (1/22)... Averaged 12.3 points per game over the final three games of the regular season (2/17-24)... Became the fourth West Florida women's basketball player to earn GSC All-Academic honors.

2005-06: Appeared in 20 games... Scored a season-high seven points in the win over Florida Southern (11/18)... Played a season-high 14 minutes in the St. Thomas Aquinas victory... Tallied five points in the conference victory over North Alabama (1/16)... Named to the GSC Winter Academic Honor Roll.

University of Mobile: Scored 5.3 points per game last season, and shot 34% from three-point land... Shares the UM record for three-pointers made in a game with five... Ninth in the conference in three-pointers made... Helped lead UM to a 25-9 overall record, and 14-4 (2nd) in the conference.

High School: Averaged 16 points, five rebounds, four assists and three steals per game for her senior year... Scored over 1,300 points for her career... Captain of the Alabama South All-Star Team... Named to the All-State Academic Team and the National Honor Society... Member of Mu Alpha Theta and the Key Club.

Club: Competed on the Baldwin County Heat AAU Basketball Team for seven years... In 2003, they were State Runner-ups... Made the All-Tournament Team in 2003 hosted at UWF.

Personal: Daughter of Richard and Margaret Davis... Has two brothers, Rick and Will, and a sister Leah... Volunteered at a shelter for abused women and children called Lighthouse Youth Task Force... An AAU coach for BC Heat (12-under)... Majoring in sport management.
