PENSACOLA, Fla. - Hosting the NCAA Division II South Regional, top-ranked West Florida faced the Chargers of Alabama-Huntsville at the Ralph "Skeeter" Carlson Complex. The Argonauts dominated its opponents without dropping a single match to improve its record to 23-3, while the Chargers finish their season with a 7-9 record.

The Argonauts swept the doubles action, earning three points. Senior Dante Botini (Buenos Aries, Argentina) and his partner Nicolas Barrientos (Cali, Columbia) dropped only one game in the number one doubles position to improve their double record to 21-3 on the season. Eduardo Cavasotti (Florianapolis, Brazil) along with Luiz Bernardi (Campinas, Brazil), and Luis Arboleda (Medellin, Columbia) along with Vivian Chettri (Delhi, India) earned the other two points to earn the 3-0 lead.

Following doubles action, the Argonauts earned two more points in singles play. Arboleda won in the third position in straight sets and improves to 18-5 singles record on the season. Barrientos won in the first position to earn a 14-9 singles record on the season, and finish the match to advance to the second round of the NCAA Division II South Regional.

West Florida Argonauts will return to action on Friday, May 3rd at the Ralph "Skeeter" Carlson Complex, against the winner of the match between Delta State (13-7) and North Alabama (9-10) to be played at 2 p.m., for a spot in the next round of NCAA Division II National Tournament to be in played Orlando, Fla.
