PENSACOLA, Fla. - The fourth ranked West Florida Men's tennis team improved to 11-2 on the season with a 5-0 shutout win over Webber International on Sunday at the UWF Tennis Complex. The Argos swept the doubles matches, with Eduardo Cavasotti and Luis Arbodela winning by an 8-4 score over Cody Wright and Rafael Teixeira at the number one doubles spot. Meanwhile, Nicolas Barrientos and Patrick Bateman continued their dominance with an 8-5 win at the number two doubles spot. The Argos number three doubles tandem of Luis Bernardi and Jose Ycaza blanked their opponents by an 8-0 score.

In singles, Carlos Zamora defeated Ignacio Cachan by a 6-0, 6-0 score at the number four singles, and teammate Rob Fair downed his opponent by a 6-2, 6-1 score to seal the win. With the two singles wins, the Argos held a 5-0 lead, and all other ongoing matches were stopped at that point.

West Florida will turn around and play two matches on Monday and another on Tuesday afternoon, as the team takes advantage of spring break to host several matches this week.
