SCHOLARSHIPS AND
COST OF ATTENDANCE
Our
soccer team at UWF is comprised of 28 players, some of which receive
some sort of athletically related financial aid. Soccer scholarships
vary in size depending on the player, our team's needs, playing
experience and many other factors. Some players are signed to scholarships
before they arrive on campus. However, it is equally common for players
in our program to start out on little or no athletic aid and earn
their way into substantial scholarships by the time they graduate.
We try to treat players fairly with regards to money as they gain
experience by proving their worth and demonstrating loyalty to our
program. I encourage all applicants to pursue all other means of financial
aid prior to discussing soccer scholarships with our staff. Contact
admissions
to find out about academic scholarships, contact our financial
aid office to get all of the forms needed to apply for federal
loans and grants, if you are a Florida resident check out the Bright
Futures Scholarship Program, also check with your high school
and local community to see what may be available for college bound
students. Below is an estimate of the current cost of tuition for
one academic year at The University of West Florida. Keep in mind
that UWF is the least expensive of all universities in the State of
Florida system.
