Lee Irving continues his work with the West Florida men's soccer program as part of a long history of assisting head coach Bill Elliott. Irving holds an NSCAA National Goalkeeping Diploma and his main duties include training goalkeepers as well as conditioning and fitness. The Newcastle, England native is currently the senior exercise physiologist / ergonomist for Sacred Heart Occupational Health Strategies in Pensacola.
Irving helped his team to the 1988 National Championship with the Northumberland Schoolboys Under 19's. Irving was a team captain and All-Region selection at F.D. Roosevelt High School in Hyde Park, NY in 1988-89. He was also team captain at John Spence Community High School in North Shields, England in 1984-87. He went on to be a four-year starter at Tennessee Wesleyan College from 1989-1992. In addition to his collegiate career, Irving played professionally with the U.S.I.S.L. Chattanooga Express, the D-III Mobile Revellers and the Pensacola Barracudas. He served as an assistant coach under Elliott at Tennessee Wesleyan from 1993 to 1995.
Irving earned his bachelor's degree from Tennessee Wesleyan College. He received his master's degree from West Florida in exercise science in 1997 and was named Outstanding Student in the HLES Department in the same year. Irving is married to the former Paige Brock, mother of Grace. The couple has a four-year-old son, Aidan.
