PALM HARBOR, Fla. - West Florida senior golfer Matthew Galloway (Valrico, Fla.) is one round away from capturing a prestigious tournament championship. Galloway will enter Sunday's fourth round at the Florida State Golf Association Amateur Championship with a two-stroke lead. The tournament is being held at the Innisbrook Resort and Golf Club.
Galloway will enter the final round at four-under 209, two strokes ahead of 2005 Amateur Champion Ryan Abbate with a two-under 211. Galloway started Saturday's third round tied for the lead after shooting a 69 and 70 in the first two rounds. He shot a 70 on Saturday, including three birdies and a 34 on the back nine.
