HOT SPRINGS, Ark. - Top ranked West Florida is 18 holes away from winning their eighth Gulf South Conference title, and defending last year's championship. The Argonauts have a one stroke lead over 10th ranked North Alabama through two rounds at the GSC Men's Golf Championship. David Lingmerth (Tranas, Sweden), Matthew Galloway (Valrico, Fla. / Durant HS), and Federico Damus (Posadas, Argentina) are in a tie for fifth place with a 143 (-1).
West Florida has a 573 (287-286) through 36 holes at the par 72, 6,690 yard Hot Springs Country Club in Hot Springs, Ark. North Alabama has a 574, and 19th ranked Valdosta State is in third place with a 578. In fourth place is 23rd ranked Arkansas Tech with a 582.
Lingmerth and Galloway shot rounds of 70 and 73. Damus shot a 73 and a 70. Matthew Berzovich (Longwood, Fla. / Lake Brantley HS) is tied for 11th with a 144, E (74-70). Leonardo Di Marino (Laferrere, Argentina) shot a 149, +5 (75-74). Jason Flowers of Valdosta State has the lead. Flowers is shooting a 138, -6 (72-66).
