CARROLLTON, Ga. - West Florida trailed by just two points at the half, but their defense could not stop the West Georgia offensive attack in the second half tonight, and the Wolves handed the Argonauts their eighth straight conference loss, 87-59.
West Georgia shot 61.1 percent from the field in the second half to UWF's 33.3 percent second half shooting. Barry Durosier led UWF with 15 points. Durosier has 536 points this year, which tops the single season scoring record at UWF, previously held by Doug Linville's 513 points in the 1968-69 season. Marcus Grant and Andy Beauchamp each scored 10 points.
Four players for UWG scored in double-digits, including Terrence Hundley's 17 points, and Henrick Foster's 16. West Georgia committed just nine turnovers.
The Wolves outscored the Argos, 54-28 in the second half. West Florida trailed by as many as 30 points, and they led the entire way.
