Set 5K personal bests off 22:50 as a sophomore, 18:01 in his junior season and 16:54 as a senior... Posted a season-best 5K time of 16:54 in his senior season at the Florida Runners Meet... Was the top Leon finisher in fourth place with a time of 17:12.71 at the Lincoln Invitational... Finished the 10K 2007 Rose City Run in Thomasville, Ga. at 34:46.

Personal: Son of Jim and Sue Griner... Worked on a political campaign in Tallahassee...Helped with several eagle scout projects, including planting trees and spreading pine straw at a hospice center... Volunteered to collect cans for the local homeless shelter.
