Michael Padilla |
TALLAHASSEE,
FLA - Ramad Hicks and Michael Padilla just keep on getting better.
The UWF men's track team returned to Florida State this weekend
for the FSU Relay's Meet. Hicks and Padilla dashed to National qualifying times, as they both broke their own school records set at the FSU Snowbird Invitational just weeks ago (March 4-5). Hicks
won the 800 meter race with an impressive time of 1:51.64. The final
heat consisted of 19 runners in the Gold (fast) Division. Hicks
finished in second at the Snowbird Invitational. Padilla
landed in fourth place in the 1500 meter race of the Gold Division
out of 19 runners. He was first at the Snowbird, but his 3:50.71
time this weekend broke his own record set earlier this month. Other notable finishes include Caleb Carmichael's sixth place finish in the 10000 meter race, with a time of 34:17.90 in the Gold Division. Jordan Theurkauph finished right behind Carmichael in seventh place, with a time of 35:15.47. Sam Ishee finished tenth in the 5000 meter race (Gold), with a time of 15:36.73. |
