ORLANDO, Fla. - The UWF men's Track team placed 3rd out of five teams, finishing behind Nova Southeastern and Bethune-Cookman at the Disney Relays. Jordan Theuerkauf won the steeplechase, while Patrick McHugh set a UWF record in the 400m hurdles.

The 1500 meter run was won by Danny Mejia who ran unattached, and won the race in 4:17.78. West Florida's finishers were Andrew Maedel with a time of 4:28.42 for 4th place, while Nick Farrington finished in 4:33.86 for 6th place, and Josh McEachin finished with a time of 4:49.12 for 10th place.

In the men's 5000 meter race, the Argos Nicholas Maedel finished in 10th place with a time of 16:53.99. The overall winner was Jeff Palmer of Nova Southeastern in a time of 15:38.51.

Patrick McHugh established a men's 400m hurdle record in 1:18.95. He finished in 2nd place behind Eric Cray of Bethune-Cookman, who cruised to the win in 1:00.28.

West Florida's Jordan Theuerkauf took first place in the 3000m steeplechase with a time of 10:32.27. Other West Florida finishers included Nick Farrington in 3rd place with a time of 11:13.87, Scott Lydick in 4th with a time of 11:32.97, Nick Maedel in 6th with a time of 11:54.07, and Andrew Maedel in 7th place with a time of 12:10.91. The Argos place five runners in the top seven positions in the steeplechase, which was the most dominated event by a single team in the event, with the Argos 4 x 400 meter relay teams also dominating.

West Florida took 2nd, 3rd, and 4th in the 4x400m relay with times of 3:49.13, 4:00.13, and 4:04.89 respectively. Nova Southeastern won the race in a time of 3:34.61.

Nova Southeastern won the 4x800m relay with 8:31.46. UWF's A team took 2nd place with 8:42.16, and the B team finished in 3rd place with a time of 8:58.59.

West Florida placed 2nd in the 4x1600m relay with a time of 19:39.89, and a 4th place finish with a time of 20:53.79. The race was won by Nova Southeastern in a time of 18:47.99.

UWF placed 2nd, 4th and 5th in the distance medley relay with times of 11:21.36, 11:49.76, and 12:19.76. Nova Southeastern won with 11:10.56.
