West Florida Runners Shine at Appalachian State Winter Meet
Boone, N.C. - The West Florida men's track team got out of the blocks blazing this Friday and Saturday at the Mountaineer Winter Indoor Track Invitational, hosted by Appalachian State University.
Michael Padilla picked up where he left off in the fall by winning the one-mile run in the eight runner final with a time of 4:19.27. He was also the runner-up out of six runners in the 5000 meter run with a 15:27.07 time. Ramad Hicks finished as the runner-up in out of 12 runners in the 800 meter with a time of 1:57.31.
The UWF put together two relay teams for the distance medley race. Team "A" comprised of Padilla, Hicks, Danny Bauer, and Jordan Therkauph finished in second of six teams. Team "B" included Sam Ishee, Josh Wyatt, Brian Gowin, and Craig Henry clocked out in third place.
