NASHVILLE, Tenn. - West Florida's Michael Padilla and Brian Gowin flourished in the NCAA Division II filled Vanderbilt Invitational. Gowin's time of 15:23.55 in the 5000 meter race placed him in fifth place, while Padilla landed in sixth place in the 1500 meter run with his 3:54.91.

Other notable finishers in the men's 5000 meter were Caleb Carmichael who placed 18th with a 15:42.46 and Chuck Jones was 19th with his 15:42.75. Eight UWF runners competed in the 5000 meter race.

Lauren Brooks faired well in the 1500 meter race by crossing the line in 22nd with a time of 4:54.90. Dawn Kane was also 22nd in the 3000 meter race with her time of 11:05.75. Jen Pulmano paced UWF in the 800 meter race with a time of 2:21.08. She finished 23rd. Rebecca Thielemann was 28th in the 5000 meter race with a time of 20:05.13.

The Argonauts gear up for the Penn Relays in Philadelphia this Friday through Sunday.
