PENSACOLA, Fla. - The West Florida Cheerleading squad will be holding the 2007 fall clinic and tryouts, for prospective members of the team, from September 5th to the 7th in the UWF Fieldhouse.
New members must be UWF students in good standing, and must complete a required medical packet, proof of insurance, and provide a current physical prior to the clinic. Those interested are asked to come dressed appropriately for cheer practice.
The first night will be in the UWF Fieldhouse, Bldg. 54, lobby. Each clinic will begin at 6:30 p.m. and end at 8:30 p.m.
Squad members cheer primarily for men's and women's basketball, but are also involved in other athletic and university events throughout the year, including Homecoming, as well as fundraisers and community service projects. Practices are typically three times per week, and do not include strength and conditioning sessions or gym sessions.
