CHAMPS/Life Skills Board

Purpose:

The CHAMPS/Life Skills Competition Program was developed at the University of New Hampshire as a way to promote the good things that student-athletes are doing in the 5 different aspects of the CHAMPS/Life Skills Program which include: Academics, Athletics, Personal Development, Career Development and Community Service

How Does it Work?
Teams are awarded points for different things that they do. In most categories, points are awarded based on the percentage of their team that participates in the project. For instance: If there are 10 tennis players and only 9 participate - the team may be awarded 90 points. For soccer that may have 30 athletes - they would need 27 to participate to earn the same 90 points. The scoring allows a fair system across the board no matter what the squad size is.

How are points tabulated?
