Men's and Women's Tennis, along with the Men's Golf team, have made the trip to Houston, Texas this week to participate in the 2008 Division II National Championships Spring Festival. Action begins Wednesday, and continues through Saturday, as the Festival is being hosted by Rice University and the Harris County Sports Authority. Men's golf will start it all off with an 8:35 am tee time on Wednesday, with Women's Tennis scheduled for a 10:30 am match, while the Men's tennis team is scheduled for a 4:00 pm match.

UWF third basemen Nicky VanCamp has been selected for the 2008 Daktronics All-South Region Second Team for her contribution to West Florida's season. The senior from Davenport, Iowa has had quite the two-year stint under Head Coach Tami Cyr, earning several awards in her final season with the Argos. In addition to her All-South recognition, VanCamp was named to the All-GSC First Team and captured Player of the Week earnings twice in 2008. She was also named to the NCAA South Region Tournament team in recognition of her play in Miami Shores.
